How to Create the Cardboard Art
The procedure for assembling the cardboard art is as follows.
- Create a template
- Cut the cardboard
- Push the folding line by using a stainless steel ruler
- Build the cardboard by using a glue gun and a wood glue
1. Create a template
Use the 3DCG software create the template of cardboard art. I am using MODO. Great 3DCG software, I love it. I know this is the most difficult part. Paper art templates are available for purchase at Nothing But Polys (free templates are also available).
If you use the paper art template to make cardboard art using the method described on this page, please cut the glue edges.
2. Cut the cardboard
3. Push the fold line by using a stainless steel ruler
Push all the fold line by using a stainless steel ruler. It helps when you fold the cardboard.
4. Build the cardboard by using a glue gun and a wood glue
